Dorothy Goldeen is pleased to advise both seasoned and novice collectors in acquiring fine
art for their personal collections. Areas of expertise include modern and contemporary painting
and sculpture; prints and drawings; classical and contemporary photography; and new media.
A specific program is developed for each client based on their needs and areas of interest. Consulting ranges from the acquisition of one particular piece to the development of an entire collection. The process involves education and exposure to international resources at the
highest level.

Collecting art is a magnificent journey. As on all journeys, itinerary is key. Dorothy's knowledge and access to the most significant art resources assures clients of effective results in their collecting and an insider's view of the art world. Resources include galleries, museum exhibitions, artists’ studios, art fairs, and auction houses.

The criteria

Selecting artwork is based on quality, condition, rarity and historical significance. The specific choices evolve from the unique program designed with each client, beginning with their aesthetic preferences. These preferences may already be defined or need to be discovered. While intriguing work is available at all price levels, establishing a budget creates focus. The space available to accommodate the artwork is also taken into consideration. The entire journey is often enhanced by new insights that inevitably result from the process of engaged looking and inquiry.
